Privacy Policy and Security
Last updated 9 January 2019.
We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of the personal information we collect. We are committed to safeguarding the online privacy of our users and do not rent or sell your information to any third party. We may modify these policies from time to time to better address your concerns or to make other additions or changes that we deem appropriate. Genbil will provide notice to you in the event that we change our policy by placing that change on this page.
This policy does not apply to the practices of companies or organizations that Genbil does not own or control, or to people that Genbil does not manage or employ. It also does not apply to sites with which Genbil or AutoMerge may be linked.
What data do we collect?
Genbil collects Personally Identifiable Information, or PII (name, email address, and phone number).
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Genbil with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:

- Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.

How will we use your data?
Genbil collects your data so that we can:
- Process your order and manage your account.
- Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like.
We do not share your data with any outside companies, with one exception: when Genbil processes your order, it may send your data to, and use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.
What are your data protection rights?
Genbil would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

What are cookies?
Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information. When you visit our websites, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology.
How do we use cookies?
Genbil uses cookies in a range of ways to improve your experience on our website, including keeping you signed in and understanding how you use our website.
What types of cookies do we use?
- Functionality. These cookies let us recognize you on our website and remember your previously selected preferences, such as language and location. A mix of first-party and third-party cookies are used.
- Advertising. These cookies collect information about your visit to our website, the content you viewed, the links you followed, and information about your browser, device, and IP address. Genbil sometimes shares limited aspects of this data with third parties for advertising purposes, and may share online data collected through cookies with advertising partners. How to manage your cookies
You can set your browser not to accept cookies; your browser's own settings explain how to remove cookies already stored. In a few cases, some of our website features may not function as a result.
Privacy policies of other websites
The Genbil/AutoMerge website contains links to other websites. Our privacy policy applies only to our own websites, so if you click a link to another website, you should read that site's privacy policy.
Changes to our privacy policy
Genbil keeps its privacy policy under regular review and places any updates on this page.
AutoMerge service-specific privacy policy
Genbil takes the security of our customers' CRM data very seriously. Several industry precautions have been implemented to safeguard it.
Personally Identifiable Information (PII). AutoMerge's service only collects fields pertinent to analysis of duplicates. This includes Personally Identifiable Information.
Encrypted transmission. Data is only transmitted via SSL/TLS or a VPN connection directly to and from our Azure cloud servers. If a customer uses Dynamics 365, their CRM data never travels over the internet at all, since it already resides in their regional Azure data center.
The regional Azure data centers AutoMerge runs in are:
- EASTUS (Eastern United States)
- WESTUS (Western United States)
- SOUTHUK (Southern United Kingdom)
- CENTRALDE (Central Germany)
- CENTRALAUS (Central Australia)
- CENTRALCA (Central Canada)
Regional data residency. A customer's AutoMerge profile defines which Azure data center and region their data is processed in.
Encrypted at rest. Data is encrypted at rest using SQL Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) with AES-128.
Restricted access. Only Genbil's managing partners and delivery-path-based analysts have access to analysis servers.
PII deletion. All Personally Identifiable Information is scrubbed directly following an AutoMerge analysis.
