The AutoMerge documentation has a new home

The AutoMerge guides used to be a handful of long WordPress pages plus a scattering of blog posts that had quietly become reference material. Finding the right one meant knowing it existed. That is fixed: the documentation is now part of the site proper, split into two guides with real navigation and full-text search.

Two guides, by who you are​

The old single guide tried to serve two very different readers at once. It is now two:

  • Using AutoMerge for anyone working duplicates inside Dynamics. Install the solution, find duplicate sets, decide which record survives, merge.
  • Administering AutoMerge for the people configuring it. CRM connections, matching rules, ranking rules, precision rules, and the requests that drive the whole thing.

Each guide keeps its own sidebar, so you are never scrolling past the other audience's material to find yours.

Blog posts that were really documentation​

Several posts had turned into the canonical reference for something: installing the managed solution, creating the Azure app user, the match rules deep dive, complex field preservation. Those are now documentation pages, where they get maintained.

Every old URL redirects to the new location, so existing bookmarks and any links in your own runbooks keep working. If you find one that does not, tell us and we will add it.

What else is new​

  • Search across both guides.
  • Dark mode, on by default, following your system setting.
  • Screenshots you can actually read. Click any screenshot to open it full size.
  • Why AutoMerge page, so the product argument and the reference material are no longer the same page.

Still to come​

Release notes as a blog category, and a documentation page for request scheduling, both the delay-of-processing field and the automatic scheduling that support configures for you.
